Emily Ann Roberts capped off a busy year with two performances in her hometown of Knoxville earlier this month. Emily Ann dazzled at the award-winning Gatlinburg Christmas Parade on December 2 where she sang a medley of songs. In addition to the parade, Emily Ann performed at the first-ever Appalachia Sessions Television Show presented by The East Tennessee Historical Society at the Bijou Theatre alongside Mark Wills and Jackie Lee.

The Appalachia session will be released on Dec. 23 and can be viewed on Nexstar Media and affiliates from ABC, CBS, FOX, and The CW in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia. The program focuses on the artists, their roots, and the fundamentals of songwriting, the Appalachia Sessions series will showcase the music born out of the history of East Tennessee and the Appalachian Cultural Region. 100% of proceeds from the TV series will benefit the Appalachia Sessions Fund to support language arts and musical arts education in Appalachia.

Emily Ann has had an impactful year all around. She’s capping the year with 20 million cumulative streams and she’s graced the Grand Ole Opry stage 5 times this year and 16 times overall. Her October release, “Whole Lotta Little” garnered nearly two million streams and has had viral success on TikTok. Billboard stated, “(Roberts) rapid-fire vocals ring with personality and conviction.” In November, Roberts released what some would call her ‘career song,’ “The Building.” She dropped the official music video shot partially at the mother church of country music, the Ryman Auditorium. The video is in rotation on CMT Music, The Country Network and Heartland. Watch “The Building” official music video here: http://bit.ly/3UWm5zt

About Emily Ann Roberts
They say the way to the biggest stage is practice, practice, practice. And that’s exactly what Emily Ann Roberts has done, paying her dues from tiny stages in Knoxville to the biggest stage of all, the Grand Ole Opry. Since launching her career, Roberts has now played the coveted Opry stage 16 times. Before that, she made a name for herself on Blake Shelton’s team on The Voice before she’d even graduated from high school. In a way, being named as a runner-up was the biggest win of all. Because now, with all of that performing, songwriting and recording experience, Roberts has already racked up more than 19 million streams and was recently named one of Rolling Stone magazine’s Best Acts of CMA Fest.  Growing up in East Tennessee, Roberts was raised on Smoky Mountain music, bluegrass players, and country artists from every era: from Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton to Miranda Lambert and Cody Johnson. And all of that has prepared her to bring the country back to country music. Working with producer Trent Willmon means she’s collaborating with some of Nashville’s most prolific songwriters. So now, Roberts finds herself surrounded by people who are like-minded about making country music that will make its mark in the studio and on the stage. “I am passionate about entertaining. I do love singing, and songwriting has become a means to an end for me. I write so that I can take those songs and perform them, not the other way around.” With that, it’s safe to say that country music is in good hands with Roberts.
