NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 26, 2026) – Today, independent singer-songwriter Kurt Stevens releases “Over & Out.” Written on a rainy Nashville day, tired of being landlocked and craving a day on the water back home in Florida, Stevens shares his spirit with us at the shoreline, diving into sounds reminiscent of paradise.
Listen to “Over & Out” HERE.
“’Over & Out’ was a song that poured out of me, as the idea of taking time for yourself seems so simple, yet feels unattainable in today’s world. I hope this song serves as a reminder to take a break from the daily grind, and do something that revives your spirit. For me, that’s leaving the phone at the dock and getting out on the water. Taking in the salty air, the warm sun, a cold beer, and finding peace – even if it’s only for a little while,” said Kurt Stevens.
Self-penned by Stevens, he sings of his personal desire to escape the noise and does so by being on the sea – with the coast and his worries behind him. With over 1300 shows performed and two million streams to date, he is making waves with his unique sound and distinctive lyrics. Featured on Sirius XM’s Radio Margaritaville, his music continues to send island vibes to listeners across the globe.
He’s scheduled to perform at Nashville Singer Songwriter Sessions across Riviera Beach, Delray Beach, and Vero Beach, Florida, on select dates July 31 through August 9. This Fall, he will play at the Fort Myers Island Hopper Songwriter Festival alongside Ava Suppelsa, Claire Liparulo, Hunter Smith, and Lauren Mascitti, among others.
