NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 17, 2020) – The genre-bending radio station Young Country (YoCo) Nashville has opened their Topgolf studio in the heart of Music City. Soon to be heard in TopGolf’s across the country and with more major syndication ahead, listeners will hear a mix of music ranging from country to hip-hop and pop to rap with an emphasis on crossover hits. Nothing is off limits with this station. Major label acts are played right alongside independent acts – setting a focus on those making waves in Nashville. The station can be heard locally on 96.7 FM and globally on the Young Country App or stream online at yoconashville.com.

Founded by hip-hop producer and performer Polow Da Don (Fergie’s “Glamorous,” Usher’s “Love in This Club”), the station believes that radio should reflect reality. That reality is one where fans ignore genre lines and listen to music that appeals to them. In just an hour of listening to YoCo, listeners will hear Luke Combs, Ed Sheeran, Drake, Kacey Musgraves, Justin Beiber, Kane Brown and Ariana Granda to name a few.

Polow Da Don is a well respected and decorated artist having won multiple BMI awards over the years including BMI Songwriter of the Year and BMI Producer of the Year. He’s partnered with industry veteran Jeff Haddad, music entrepreneur and longtime manager of The Pussycat Dolls, as the GM and anchor on-air host. His show can be heard live Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. CT. YoCo will also feature mixshows by Dee Jay Silver on Friday and Dave Aude on Saturday nights followed by a guest DJ.

YoCo is changing the radio game. No longer will people have to change the station to hear a wide variety of music.

About YoCo
Young Country Nashville (YoCo) is taking the traditional radio format and throwing it out the window along with genres that come with it. On YoCo, listeners can hear a mix of artists from all different genres including Country, Hip-Hop and Pop. Founder and hip-hop producer Polow da Don (Fergie’s “Glamorous,” Usher’s “Love in This Club”) tell’s Rolling Stone, “Young Country is for anyone who doesn’t fit the cookie cutter tradition of the genre.” He continues to explain how most country music fans also listen to hip-hop and pop, but there is no format that fits the reality of listeners enjoying multiple genres. Da Don saw a need and filled it by creating an innovative listening experience. Even their studio is bending the mold by being inside Nashville’s Topgolf where artists and listeners can visit anytime – another example of a successful and disruptive brand. YoCo gives all artists a chance, including female artists and independent artists – “rules don’t apply.” For more information about YoCo check out www.yoconashville.com
