NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 20, 2026) – Melody Place Records’ country riser Braden Hull releases the emotional single, “One More Cast,” today. In this vulnerable track, Hull comes to grips with the loss of his grandfather Ronnie Hull, whom he never had the chance to meet. A fan-favorite track he’s played for two years, Hull knows how deeply it tugs at the heartstrings, no matter who listens. Listen to the song HERE.
If I could have one more cast
I promise that I’d make it last
It don’t matter where it is, as long as we’re pulling bassLord, I didn’t know
Time flew by way too fast
And all I’m asking for is just
One more cast
“I often think of what I would do to be able to go fishing with my grandpa just one more time. What I would pay to see him load up the boat, throw out a line, buy me some Big League Chew on the way to the lake. The truth is I’d give anything for just One More Cast,” says Hull.
The North Carolina former firefighter imagines the track from his father’s perspective, imagining what he felt like after losing his dad. Leaning on the universal theme of grief in everyone’s lives, Hull hopes this song brings healing to everyone who is missing somebody. Following his 2025 signing with Melody Place Records last spring, he’s stacked over a million music streams. He recently participated in “Six Pack Coverage’s” fall tour, traveling to major college campuses across North America through the multimedia sports/entertainment company. The program’s content boasts satellite locations in 55 major college towns nationwide, and reaches 35 million monthly video views.
