JOE HANSON RELEASES “WHEN HE WAS MAKING ME” IN TIME FOR VALENTINE’S DAY
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 12, 2021) – Joe Hanson reminds us that there is a person out there for everyone in “When He Was Making Me.” Exclusively premiered by Music Mix Daily, Hanson has a way of making listeners feel hopeful this Valentine’s Day with his soothing melody and heartfelt lyrics that remind people that love is worth the wait. Optimistic and honest phrases pair perfectly with the calming melody and his mesmerizing tone, which bring this heartfelt song to life. Written with Mark Irwin and Marty Dodson, the three perfectly sum up how Hanson feels about his real life girlfriend. Listen to “When He Was Making Me” here.
“This is a super special song to me. It was one of the first love songs I ever wrote for my girlfriend and it captures both sides of my love for her while giving God the rightful glory for bringing us together. I hope everyone listening can be inspired knowing that God has someone he had in mind when he was making you and to not give up on love because your person might be right on the other side of not giving up and trusting him and his timing,” says Hanson.
Most recently, Hanson has seen success with the music video for “Head Over Wheels,” which premiered on CMT in early January. The video, directed by Quinton Cook, has been in CMT’s 12-Pack Countdown for 4 weeks in a row and was the Next Up Now feature in January. A native of Naperville, Ill., Hanson has quickly seen success in Music City. In 2020, he was the featured artist at the Music Row Breakout Awards during CRS and was a DISCovery Award Winner of the Week in Music Row. Hanson is looking to capitalize on that success and keep progressing throughout 2021 as he releases more new music and continues writing and recording.
“When He Was Making Me” is featured on The Country Scene’s #NewMusicFriday playlist.
About Joe Hanson
Singer/songwriter Joe Hanson is already breaking the mold, and he’s brand new to country music. He is equipped with a striking tenor voice and a knack for shaping a melody like a sculptor with stone: tastefully and expressively. Even now, Hanson knows how to write the kind of songs that stick in your head, with lyrics that reflect the bitter and the sweet he’s tasted in life. And while he seems to have been born to sing country music — in fact, he probably was — it took Hanson a while to decide whether his destiny was in Christian music, on which he was raised back in Naperville, Illinois alongside country stalwarts like Randy Travis, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, John Denver and more. After experimenting with various sounds and projects, Hanson knew that his calling was to make country music, so he officially moved to Nashville. Since moving to town he has had the opportunity to attend writers retreats, where he met Keesy Timmer, who’d penned Kelsea Ballerini’s “Yeah Boy.” Hanson has also had the opportunity to open for some of Nashville’s best including Brantley Gilbert, Randy Houser, Russell Dickerson and Lindsay Ell.
