NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 14, 2022) Muscadine Bloodline dropped a new single today alongside a new music video for their song, “No, Pedal Steel.” The video is an intimate performance of the gorgeous ballad. Written by the duo of Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster and fellow acclaimed songwriters Brent Cobb and Adam Hood, the downhearted lyrics accompany the sound of a pedal steel guitar and create a classic, true country song. “Nothing says country music more than the sound of pedal steel so we decided to write a song about a conversation with one. ‘No, Pedal Steel’ is about a man pleading with it to stop playing its lonesome sounds because it only makes him think of her. Misery loves its company it seems,” says Muscadine Bloodline.

“I’ve tried every kinda record from the vinyl stack
even happy songs turn to sad guess that misery loves company
no pedal steel I don’t wanna feel as lonely as I do now
cause I’d lose my mind in 3 quarter time high on that lonesome sound
now that she’s gone I’ve lived em all I’ll burn that old jukebox down
cause your melody makes her memory so real
no, pedal steel”

“No, Pedal Steel” follows the duo’s previous singles, “Dyin’ For A Livin’” and “Dispatch to 16th Ave.,” all from their forthcoming sophomore album, Dispatch to 16th Ave. Releasing February 4, this record features sharp songwriting from Gary and Charlie and more renowned songwriters. Be sure to pre-save the album here!

Robert Oermann of MusicRow said of the title track, “The duo sings of a country hopeful on Music Row who fails because he wouldn’t make conformist music. The harmonies are tight, and their band sounds sprightly. Recommended.”

About Muscadine Bloodline
Proudly independent and unapologetically Southern, country duo Muscadine Bloodline find their true voice on their upcoming new album, Dispatch to 16th Ave. Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton grew up in Mobile, Alabama, but didn’t cross paths until they each started to pursue their musical dreams. In 2012, they forged a friendship when Stanton opened a show for Muncaster’s band at Soul Kitchen in Mobile. Charlie’s contemporary vocals complimented by Gary’s harmonies and masterful guitar licks showcase a powerfully refreshing mix of talent, passion and unfiltered authenticity. Since naming themselves Muscadine Bloodline in 2015, they’ve had two Billboard-charting critically-acclaimed EP’s, have sold out shows across the country, opened concerts for hundreds of artists and earned a standing ovation at their Grand Ole Opry debut in 2018. The guys’ Southern roots carry over to their band name as well: Muscadine grapes grow in the South while Bloodline represents their heritage.
