NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 9, 2021) — Holdyn Barder’s newest single “Backroad Baby” is destined to be the song you blast in the car this summer with shades on, the windows down and wind in your hair. Written by Barder, Davis Branch and Jamie Collazo, the country melody accompanied with strong pop influences in the beat brings as many good bumps as a country backroad. “As we were coming up with ideas for the write, I remembered a unique song title that I had in my songwriting journal. “Backroad Baby” was the title, and I immediately heard that catchy chorus melody for the first time in my head. We ran with it and had a full master of the song completed in just five hours. In my personal opinion, of all the songs I’ve recorded so far, “Backroad Baby” highlights my strengths and growth as a songwriter, as well as an artist, the most,” said Barder.
A native of Bucks County, Pa., Barder packed up his bags and left for Nashville in 2019, leaving a potential career path as a physicist behind. Having only been in Nashville for just over two years, and in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, Barder has already charted all of his singles on the iTunes Country Charts and built a quickly growing fanbase. In tandem with his music career, Holdyn Barder looks forward to completing his collegiate career this year with his degree in Music Business from Belmont University.

Residing in Nashville, Holdyn is finishing his collegiate career at Belmont University. Co-written with hit songwriters Jason Matthews (Luke Bryan, Chris Young, et. al.) and Mikey Mobley (Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, et.al.), Holdyn’s 2020 debut single “Like You Do” reflects the breath of fresh air that the 22-year-old effortlessly radiates. Preceded by two powerhouse singles produced by Tree Vibez Music’s Chris Locke, his second single, “It’s All Love,” offers a wholesome, countrified perspective on the world, and “You’re Killin’ It” certainly showcases the stage power and longevity Holdyn brings to the Nashville table.
